Olive oil

Since olive olive oil was so widespread in Greece, it was used as basis for many unguents and almost all the perfumes.

Rose

Many oils were thought not only for women but also or only for men. Perfume was part of the daily hygene both for male and female.◦RODINOS (rose oil): rose, saffron, cinabar

Spikenard

Greeks either men or women were used to massage with olive oil, rose oil, nard oil, iris oil and many other kinds of perfumes and perfumed cremes derived from oil.

Bergamot

Some greek perfumes were so famous that they were exported in the whole Mediterranea. Some examples of those perfumes are susinon and kipros based on mint and bergamot.
